01. Do I need planning permission for a tiled conservatory roof?
02. Will my current conservatory frames and base hold the weight of a tiled roof?
Almost all will, However we thoroughly inspect your existing base a for any signs of subsidence or any other defects, we then check the frames to see if they are in reasonable shape and have the all important steel reinforcing in place within them, If frames are inadequate then we offer solutions from strengthening the original frames were possible to installing brand new state of the art A-Rated frame upgrade solutions.

No, the installation of the system on average results in only minimal loss of light (around 5% for polycarbonate roofs and around 11% for glass). With the majority of ambient light delivered into the conservatory through the window and doors, it is considered that the installation of this system on average only results in a modest light loss of about 5%. All of our roofs are highly insulated with an average depth of 125mm on average, we use dependent on your upgrade various high grade foiled backed insulating boards or multi foil insulation quilt systems that gives fantastic thermal properties without reducing the height of your conservatory.
08. Will you remove the glass or tile over it?
We always remove the old polycarbonates or old glass system with no exceptions .

We use Tapco Slate – an artificial lightweight slate or the Metrotile lightweight shingle tile version – You can read more about both versions on our exterior page.
10. Why is it important to ventilate the roof?
Due to the fantastic thermal properties of our foiled backed insulation boards, and the heat that it will retain, without sufficient ventilation your roof would sweat.
11. I Don’t Like The Light & Fan I Currently Have In The Conservatory Ceiling. Can This Be Changed?
Yes we can offer a number of options as far as lighting is concerned. You may wish to have spot lights installed in the new ceiling of your conservatory or maybe even have lighting fitted within a pelmet, any of these options are available as our fitters are qualified to carry out this work.
